There is nothing more fun that Christmas shopping on a snowy day, whether you’re a gnome, left, busy mom or grandma.  It is especially exciting when you have someone else to carry your packages.  These two little gnomes and their bunny look like they are really enjoying their day out and they don’t seem to be minding the snowflakes that are dancing all around them.  If you would like to create this very cute card for yourself, read on because we have some very easy directions for you:

  • Cut a 4”x 6” piece of snowy or glittery background scrapbook paper and use double sided tape to adhere it to a piece of cardstock.
  • Trim off excess cardstock and glue this piece to the card.
  • Using mix media glue (Mod Podge or Stamperia) and the water technique (check out this video for this technique: https://youtu.be/FH5aYW7hP8c) apply one whole quarter of the napkin to a piece of watercolour paper – do this twice. Let dry.
  • On one quarter, cut around the top of the bunny, the two left hand gnomes, the mountain in between them and the snow under bunny and gnomes (see image).
  • Using Aleene’s Quick Dry Tacky Glue, glue this toward the bottom of the background paper
  • Cut the bunny some snow and the gifts from your second napkin piece
  • Attach 3D pop dots to the presents and the bunny and attach each to the top of the twin image on the card.
  • Paint white acrylic paint (heavily to the bottom of the card (around the gnome’s feet) and glitter it up to look like real snow.
  • Add red and green glitter to accent clothing – use it anywhere you like
  • Heavily add white acrylic paint to the pom-poms and glitter them up OR glue on an actual little pom-poms (how cute is that???)
  • Stencil on some white snowflakes in the background and glitter those as well.

Well, your card is ready to ‘hit the mail\ and put a smile on someone’s face.  Thanks again to my Aunt Lynne for contributing this card and the step-by-step directions so that you can have some holiday fun!
